Monica & Jacob | A Heartfelt Country Wedding in the Middle of Fall

We first met Monica and Jacob back in October of 2023 when they scheduled a tour of our beautiful Barn! Their tour guide remembers them as "sweethearts" and saw their kindness shine throughout the tour. Monica's family joined them, and you could see how close she was with her family. The decision to have their wedding at the Barn seemed as easy as the breeze. They sent in their deposit the same day as their tour! "Monica and Jacob are the type of people you always hope to have at the Barn... a truly wonderful pair," their tour guide.

Before they knew it, their special day had arrived! Monica started her wedding morning in the Putnam Room for glam in adorable pjs before heading to the deck for some cute group pictures. Monica had a stunning pair of white cowboy boots while the bridesmaids had traditional brown boots. We love seeing the country elements come out and highlight the Barn roots! She was picked up in our golf cart and escorted over to the Bridal Suite in the Barn where she put her dress on. The detail in her dress had everyone swooning! Monica and Jacob had a private first look before exchanging vows one on one. You can feel the love and respect they have for one another.

Their ceremony was magical with ribbons tied on chairs and a beautiful floral piece attached to our birch arbor. Monica and Jacob said I do in front of 86 guests then the night kicked off! Dinner was a hit with Grilled Ribeye and cowboy butter alongside Creamy Tuscan Chicken. Topped off with garlic mashed potatoes and butternut squash, it is safe to say everyone was satisfied. They decided to add on some late-night bites along with desserts from Wrights Bakery.

The night didn't end there... the dance floor was packed. Glow sticks waving here, there, and everywhere. They are always a crowd favorite! Monica and Jacob thought of everything... flower wall for photos, cigar bar, live violinist for the ceremony. Details were truly everywhere! It was a spectacular evening for everyone.

Their coordinator reflected on the first time she met them. "I met Monica and Jacob at Dance Your Heart Out which is our Valentine's Day Event. I remember them being so excited for their big day which made me even more excited to work it! They loved the event and booked several of our vendors that were there." Building their relationship while planning the wedding was so special. Their coordinator stating how strong the connection was between Monica and Jacob as well as having an amazing support system. "My favorite moment of the night was Monica danced with her mom but then invited her siblings out onto the floor. Something about seeing the four of them all dancing together... made me so emotional and got me a little teary eyed for sure." Their coordinator continued to sing their praise and wishes them all the best in married life. "I hope they come back and we can plan another special event for them soon."

Monica & Jacob's Day in their own words:

"If I could write a book about my husband and my experience at The Barn, I absolutely would. We knew The Barn was going to be the perfect place for us to have our wedding from the day we toured the venue. Julia was an amazing tour guide, and she made us feel so welcomed at the venue. We were assigned Kate as our event coordinator, and she was absolutely amazing! We could not have asked for a better person to make sure our wedding day was absolutely perfect. Kate’s ability to pivot when things don’t go as planned is incredible and she makes everything look like it is going exactly as planned. She is kind, patient, caring and an all-around amazing person and event coordinator! The Barn itself is an absolutely beautiful venue and not only were my husband and I in awe, but so were our guests. Not only was Kate amazing but so were all the staff at The Barn. Everyone works as a team there and does the best they can to make sure your wedding day is magical.
